Cyphastrea are sometimes referred to as a Meteor Coral however most reef aquarists today simply refer to them by their scientific name. A truly great looking encrusting coral!. Cyphastrea, it survives best in stable low light and do poorly when exposed to high light.
The Cyphastrea Coral is moderately easy to care for, requiring moderate to strong aquarium water movement combined with low/moderate lighting conditions achieved by T-5s or LEDs. It is important to leave ample space between Cyphastrea Coral and neighboring corals in mixed reef aquariums since it can grow rather fast under ideal conditions.
